Senior Accountant
We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a well-established insurance firm in Dallas, TX. This is a Direct Hire Opportunity!

Role of Senior Accountant:
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual statutory statements (Blue Books) in line with statutory accounting principles.
- Review monthly journal entries and financial statements.
- Manage general ledger account reconciliations and variance analyses.
- Coordinate GAAP and STAT audits.
- Handle state regulatory filings, tax returns, and other reports.
- Assist with regulatory requirements, new business lines, and reinsurance partnerships.
- Collaborate with auditors, state examiners, and senior management.
- Contribute to cash management and compliance with accounting standards.
- Strengthen internal procedures and efficiencies.
Requirements for Senior Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus.
- CPA certification or eligibility is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience.
- 5+ years of recent experience in Insurance Financial Accounting and Statutory Reporting.
- Strong knowledge of US statutory insurance/reinsurance accounting and regulatory reporting.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing Life insurance company financial statements on a statutory basis.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Model Audit Rule compliance is beneficial.

Job Requirements
MUST Haves- Bachelorâ s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting CPA-certified or eligible candidate preferred 10 years of Accounting Experience 5 plus years of recent experience in Insurance Financial Accounting and Statutory Reporting required, open to life, accident/health, or property/casualty Strong US statutory insurance/reinsurance accounting and regulatory reporting knowledge
