Job Description
Our client in San Antonio, Texas is looking for an Accountant on a direct hire basis.

Accountant Role:
The Accountant will assist the CFO with accounting, bookkeeping, and clerical tasks, performing all payroll functions, reviewing of vendor invoices for accuracy, entering invoices in Sage,and preparing checks etc.
Perform a detailed monthly review of all general ledger trial balance reports
Identify questions requiring research and items requiring accounting correction
Work with entity owner’s finance team, responding to all accounting questions, trail balance edits, performing transaction research as required
Respond to all audit requests, support and provide responses to detailed selections where appropriate
Reconcile company credit card accounts each month, export data to excel, and enter transactions
Scan copies of reconciliation spreadsheets to the management team
Assist CFO with budget preparation annually
Reconciles, researches, and obtains source documents related to payables; ensures timely payments, compliance and communications
Prepare documentation for audits as requested
Assist CFO with various special projects
Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
A minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience working in accounting
SAGE experience
Microsoft Suite of products, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Knowledge of Power Point is a plus
Accrual accounting experience required
CPA or CPA candidate a plus
Highly organized, driven, extremely detailed, thrives in a fast-paced environment, highly adaptable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
