Accountant Role:
The Accountant will support the Accounting Manager and CFO with month end close,processing commission, and various accounting tasks
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Accurately calculate and track commissions based on various compensation plans
Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis
Oversee or support AP/AR processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Lead or contribute to month-end and year-end close activities
Generate internal financial statements and support external reporting requirements
Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets for financial tracking and analysis
Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline accounting processes and support decision making
Provide documentation and support for audits and internal reviews
Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Accountant Background Profile:
4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a fast paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) required
Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and advanced formulas
Experience calculating and reporting on commissions and incentive pay
Thorough understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices
Self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
