Strategic Account Manager - New Haven, CT., Direct hire opportunity for a top tier electronics company.
Global electronics distributor
In business for over 50 years and growing at a rapid rate
Account Manager Role
Develop and maintain purchasing and engineering relationships at accounts
Completion of account pre-call preparation work
Determine calls to be made, set objectives
Customer visits to all assigned accounts as per schedule with Branch Management
Be proactive with regards to order follow-up, credit issues, backlog; schedules etc.
Upkeep of documentation, customer profiles; engineering opportunities and visit reports
Daily communication to Branch Management and Inside Sales on customer visits, objectives and achievement
Work as part of a team and understanding each customers organization, including buying process and buying patterns
Account Manager Background Profile:
2 years’ experience Business to Business (B2B sales)
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Previous electronics distribution industry sales experience is a plus
Seeking a team player with exceptional communications skills
Willing to travel to client sites
