.NET Development Manager Role:
In this role, you will be working with a small team and be a working, hands on manager as a developer yourself. You will manage 2 .NET Developers – all .NET C#, and will interact in a leadership role with 2 Business Analysts, database administrators.
Serve as a key contact point for the Operations team provisioning new servers, dealing with any production support issues that arise with servers.
Responsible for delegating the user stories out to the team.
Work with others to prioritize work to make sure all in sync, and to architect the solutions, give high level guidance for developers.
Ensure implementation of technical requirements
Job responsibilities include filling the Scrum Master and Solutions Architect roles on a team using Agile methodologies, ensuring other developers on the team are adhering to technical and functional architectural standards, collaborating with Product Manager, stakeholders and leadership team to ensure the strategic vision of the team’ s systems is realized.
Participate in strategic cross-project planning and release planning activities
Coordinate and participate in the development of logical and detailed design deliverables (e.g.: storyboards, activity/state diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc.) for application components based on enterprise conceptual designs
Mentor and assist developers in the implementation of detailed designs and patterns
Participate in the building and testing of own team’ s applications (web applications and .NET services)
.NET Development Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’ s degree in Information Technology is preferred
Financial industry experience is a plus
10+ years of professional experience managing applications teams, including career development, coaching, and performance evaluations.
10+ years of professional software development experience building and testing Web Services, Windows Services and shared .NET C# class libraries
Experience with Business Applications
Experience acting as Scrum Master of an Agile Team – does not need to be certified in Agile, but experience working in an Agile environment
The ideal candidate will be focused, have a strong attention to detail, strong problem solving skills, and a willingness to learn and encourage others.
Ability to assess and communicate progress, open points and issues related to own team
Ability to handle basic Microsoft server administration functionality for the purposes of troubleshooting development-related issues and providing recommendations for configuration changes as needed
Troubleshoot and support system testing, user acceptance testing, and roll-out efforts
Ability to manage and provide production support
Enthusiastic, high-energy, and team-player personality
High-productivity development track record
Experience with multiple environments and strong track record of solid change management practices
