Our client is seeking a REMOTE Director of Corporate Compliance on a direct hire basis.

REMOTE Director of Corporate Compliance Role:
Must be able to travel to Phoenix, AZ once a month for 2-3 days.
In this role, you will work to ensure that the organization conducts its business in accordance with the highest standards of ethical business practices and in compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
You will serve as a role model for high ethical standards and will work to create a culture of corporate integrity.
Formulating, implementing and assessing the organization-wide compliance program, including oversight of quality assurance functions.
Ensure compliance awareness training and compliance subject-specific training for all staff. Effectively communicates the importance of compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, funder requirements, and accreditation standards across all levels of the organization.
Facilitate the recurring Compliance Committee meetings.
Lead investigator for all compliance related matters, including those that are reported via the Employee Hotline or via any other reporting function.
Formulate and monitor the organization’s compliance activities regularly and oversee internal and external reviews.
Proactively identify and resolve potential issues of non-compliance; work with organization personnel to ensure operating procedures are tailored to mitigate potential compliance risks.
Work with human resources personnel to ensure the implementation of appropriate retraining and/or disciplinary protocols for employees or independent contractors who do not meet or follow compliance requirements.
Work with all levels of management to integrate elements of the compliance program into all aspects of the organization’s operations.
Provide compliance updates as required to the Compliance Committee and the Board of Directors.
Manage fraud risk awareness by ensuring compliance with fraud risk assessments and audits and providing fraud risk training where appropriate.
Maintain discrete and clear written records and files of all Compliance Program activities, including all steps and determinations made as a result of investigations.
Formulate and direct internal audit and monitoring activities, ensuring they are timely performed, that recommended actions are taken, and that assessments are performed to gauge the efficacy of compliance efforts.
Train staff on how to identify, create, and conduct audits and monitoring activities for risk and compliance projects as needed.
Oversee the organization’s annual risk assessment process including ensuring written protocols of the process.
Coordinate with the organization’s HIPAA Privacy and HIPAA Security SMEs where needed to ensure full compliance with state and federal HIPAA regulations.


REMOTE Director of Corporate Compliance Background Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Master’s Degree or JD is a plus.
3+ years of healthcare compliance experience at director level 
CHC (Certification in Healthcare Compliance) preferred.
Clinical experience in compliance, especially in outpatient or ambulatory settings, is highly desired. Familiarity with healthcare compliance and experience with Medicare/Medicaid programs are advantageous.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel.
