Our client located in just minutes from downtown New Orleans, Louisiana is in need of a Jewelry Buyer. This is a direct hire opportunity. Relocation package available.

Jewelry Buyer Role:
As a Jewelry Buyer you be instrumental in managing top jewelry design brands, optimizing inventory performance, and driving sales.
Will require a blend of analytical prowess, negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of luxury retail to collaborate effectively with various teams and suppliers.
Oversee a diverse portfolio of over 30 jewelry brands and product lines, ensuring efficient inventory turnover, margin optimization, and mix balance.
Negotiate with suppliers professionally and represent our company at major domestic and international jewelry shows.
Jewelry Buyer will build and maintain strong business relationships with leading jewelry suppliers.
Monitor stock levels and inventory performance daily, using analytical skills to manage inventory, report on trends, and forecast needs.
Coordinate with suppliers to secure the best terms and ensure timely product delivery.
Manage inventory replenishment and track stock movement to maintain accurate processes.
Ensure product lines are up-to-date and performing well, minimizing dated inventory.
Jewelry Buyer will work with the merchandising team to ensure correct pricing, tagging, and display according to brand standards.
Provide product information, support special orders, and address queries from sales staff.
Assist in training and development related to new lines, suppliers, and in-house production.
Jewelry Buyer will collaborate with ownership, merchandising, sales, and inventory teams to align product selection with company goals.
Participate in the development and testing of new product lines.
Jewelry Buyer Background Profile:
Ideally four years but open to more junior candidates in fine jewelry buying or luxury merchandising is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for negotiation and problem-solving.
Highly organized, motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities within a team environment.
Strong skills in inventory analysis, reporting, and forecasting, with a keen eye for detail.
Deep understanding of the jewelry industry, luxury retail, and product sourcing.
