Job Description
Our client in the Dallas/Fort Worth area is seeking a Credit Manager on a direct hire basis.

Credit Manager Role:
In this role, you will report to the Finance Leader and have responsibility of overseeing the credit and collection function to optimize the company's profitability while minimizing exposure to bad debt risk.
Lead and guide credit and collection administrative staff to ensure efficient collection and application of customer payments.
Develop, maintain, and implement standard operating procedures related to the credit and customer setup process.
Collaborate with credit businesses promptly to ensure accuracy while engaging with external and internal customers to verify and resolve credit transactions.
Evaluate, monitor, and resolve active customer accounts to mitigate or prevent bad debt losses.
Negotiate and recommend payment terms with customers to secure transactions effectively.
Analyze credit data and financial statements to assess risk and expected profitability.
Interview credit applicants by telephone to gather personal and financial data needed for credit reports.
Make credit decisions within assigned authority.
Prepare written documentation to inform customers about outstanding balances and credited amounts.
Disseminate financial information to Senior Management.
Contact customers and support the collection process.
Achieve company goals and objectives.
Credit Manager Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree
4+ years of experience in finance or accounting positions within a multi-state company
4+ years of experience in Credit/Collections
MS Office Suite – specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred experience with Point of Rental and NetSuite is a plus
Thorough understanding of credit reporting agencies and interpreting financial statements for credit underwriting purposes
Prior experience with UCC Filings, Lien Processes, and Personal Guarantees
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to be a leader
Analytical decision making skills in a fast-paced environment
Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong multi-tasking skills
Strong professionalism skills – calm in high-pressure situations
