Client Manager for Employee Benefits Role:
In this role you will work with the Client Executive team to support the business objectives of the company.
You will manage clients effectively while also managing a dedicated book of business.
You will have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills by mentoring and providing guidance to other team members.
Responsible for workflow management and training which involves ensuring that all members of the client management team understand and follow internal work processes consistently.
Provide outstanding customer/client experience - responsible for client satisfaction and fostering honest, transparent, and open relationships with clients.
Responsible for client persistency which involves establishing and maintaining proper attention, processes, and feedback mechanisms to maintain a persistency rate aligned with practice expectations.
This role will spend approximately three-fourths of the time interacting with clients as the relationship-focused part of this role is very important.
Handle vendor management which involves maintaining business partnerships with key carriers and third-party vendors to provide clients with optimal service and products.
Keep the client management team updated on any planned/announced changes that might impact clients.
Stay informed on industry knowledge and application so that you are aware of any key changes in the industry, including competitive practices and regulatory or legislative changes.
Be involved in client meetings and presentations.


Client Manager for Employee Benefits Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but equivalent strong experience will be considered in lieu of degree
3-5 years of experience with client management and employee benefits on the brokerage side of the insurance business.
Experience in self-funded business, small market segment is highly preferred and candidates with this experience are considered first.  The small market segment is 2-100 employees.
Experience with large market segment, 100+ employees is a huge plus.
State Life and Health Producers license is required.
It is a plus if you have an industry professional designation.
MS Office Suite – specifically advanced Excel and PowerPoint experience.
Excellent customer service skills and proven track record of successfully building and fostering client relationships and managing client relationships.  
Must have experience working directly, face to face with clients.
Strong knowledge and sound understanding of fundamental benefit laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level attention to detail and organizational skills required.
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a fast growing company.
Team player as well as the ability to work independently.
Ability to calculate customized financial analysis and interpret the data and present to others.
Ability to travel a small amount of time, approximately 15%.
