Vice President, Network Management Role:
The Vice President, Network Management is responsible for directing a team that is accountable for provider contracting as well as provider relations and value based care program implementation.
Responsible for development, implementation, and management of network strategies including maintaining and improving current provider networks, developing new networks, achieving unit price targets, and educating providers.
Accountable for Network Management including Group and Government programs.
Responsible for ensuring contracted network coverage.
Responsible for oversight of management and staff who manage contracting operations.
Provide direction and leadership of contract network team.
Maintain knowledge of hospital and provider reimbursement strategies and policies.
Utilize excellent, professional, and concise verbal and written communication skills to negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and prepare executive and employee presentations.
Vice President, Network Management Background Profile:
The Vice President, Network Management would have a Bachelor’ s degree.
MBA or Masters in Healthcare Administration is preferred, but not required.
The Vice President, Network Management would have 5-7 years’ experience at a director level or above.
Experience assisting in and/or responsible for development of strategies and initiatives.
7-10 years’ experience in healthcare administration, hospital/physician relations, and hospital/healthcare contracting.
Knowledge of hospital and provider reimbursement skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the company to external individuals and entities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent relationship building skills, strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
Experience negotiating individual and group contracts.
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail, priority and time management abilities.
Need to be self-motivated, dependable, reliable and accountable.
Advanced financial management skills and ability to use accuracy and sound judgement in regards to financial matters such as contract performance and impact.
Strong team player skills and attributes.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
