Store Manager:
As a Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing store profitability by overseeing all operational facets while adhering to company policies and standards. You will be responsible for the daily management of the store, implementing strategies to enhance customer service, drive sales, and boost overall profitability. Your leadership will ensure exceptional customer experiences and effective team development.
Oversee daily store operations to align with corporate objectives and ensure seamless execution of tasks.
Develop and implement strategies aimed at elevating customer satisfaction, increasing sales, and maximizing profit margins.
Foster a positive environment through exemplary customer service and effective team communication.
Leverage your extensive experience to set and achieve operational goals.
Maintain close interaction with customers and staff to address inquiries, manage special orders, and resolve complaints effectively.
Manage inventory by placing orders across all departments to maintain optimal stock levels and product mix.
Merchandise new and seasonal products according to established company guidelines.
Ensure accuracy in inventory management through rigorous auditing and verification practices.
Minimize profit loss by controlling shrinkage and conducting interviews in line with company standards.
Assist in HR functions including payroll processing, data entry, and reporting to corporate HR.
Conduct performance evaluations, recommending actions related to wages, promotions, and disciplinary measures as needed.
Create staff schedules that align with labor projections set by management.
Provide comprehensive training for team members, ensuring they are equipped to meet customer needs.
Monitor cash handling practices and oversee daily cash report accuracy.
Ensure compliance with receiving and backroom check-in protocols.
Maintain appropriate signage and tagging throughout assigned areas.
Implement shelf resets and new product placements as necessary.
Coordinate logistics for truck deliveries, including loading and unloading processes.
Conduct regular store evaluations to identify priorities and set daily tasks.
Lead and motivate team members to achieve corporate goals while maintaining a positive workplace culture.
Oversee preventive maintenance and sanitation of equipment and facilities.
Uphold safety and security standards, ensuring all team members comply with established protocols.
Assist in the Front End to streamline customer flow and service at checkout.
Store Manager Background Profile:
High School Diploma or GED required
5 years of retail experience preferred
Relevant post-secondary education may substitute for experience.
Proficiency in operating various store equipment and technology, including manual pallet jacks, computers, and cash registers.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; ability to quickly learn new software.
Basic to intermediate mathematical skills are essential.
Ability to stand, walk, and reach continuously, with occasional sitting and climbing.
Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 100 pounds when necessary.
Visual acuity for monitoring store conditions and product quality.
Follow detailed instructions and maintain a consistent work pace.
Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and set priorities effectively.
Work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Maintain composure in various situations and employ problem-solving skills.
Primarily a climate-controlled store environment with potential exposure to cold temperatures in coolers/freezers.

Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
