Job Description
Our client in Irving, Texas has an immediate need for 2 Staff Accountants on a direct hire basis.

Staff Accountant Role:
The Staff Accountant will oversee the processing of receipts and disbursements, including recording vendors' invoices and employee reimbursement transactions, while also maintaining the vendor list.
Manage monthly recurring expenses and ensure timely processing of all invoices.
Conduct monthly reconciliations for the company's credit card statements and employee expense reports to ensure accurate recording within the appropriate period.
Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing of the general ledger, assisting in the preparation of journal entries.
Aid in preparing the company’s quarterly consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and consolidation package for reporting to the ultimate parent company, adhering to company policy and accounting principles.
Review quarterly financial statements from joint venture partnerships and investments, addressing any discrepancies with partners and reviewing income and loss allocations.
Maintain the general ledger and related accounts with proper documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles.
Assist in external and internal audits by preparing schedules, providing supporting documents, and handling auditor inquiries.
Support various office administrative tasks, such as procuring stamps, handling certified mail, and managing office deliveries.
Assist in reporting tax matters to the company’s parent company and handle inquiries from tax accountants and consultants.
Maintain and update the company's fixed asset ledgers, conducting annual inventory checks.
Aid in implementing new processes and documenting internal control procedures.
Prepare Form 1096, Form 1099, and other reports required by governmental agencies.
Undertake any special projects assigned by the Accounting Manager or Executive Management
Staff Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
Demonstrated understanding and application of GAAP and IFRS, including consolidation.
Accurately track all tasks and prioritize to timely completion, keen attention to accuracy and detail
Ability to work proactively and independently; self-starter who is well-organized, detail oriented.
Punctuality and reliability.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking.
Strong work ethics and discretion and takes ownership of projects.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of management and team members.
Public accounting experience required
3+ years of full cycle accrual-based accounting.
