Senior Accountant
Job Description
Our client based in The Woodlands, Texas, seeks a dynamic Senior Accountant to join their team on a direct hire basis.

Senior Accountant Role:
- Lead complex accounting functions and oversee intercompany transactions
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting across multiple entities
- Develop a deep understanding of business operations, financial systems, and general ledger structure
- Accurately record intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Collaborate with internal teams to investigate intercompany issues and ensure accurate financial statements
- Manage fixed assets and maintain accuracy within the fixed asset module
- Prepare and analyze intercompany reconciliation reports for management review
- Perform month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Identify process improvement areas and implement best practices for intercompany reconciliation workflows
- Support ad hoc financial and accounting projects when required
- Assist with and provide backup for bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and continuity
Senior Accountant Background Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in general ledger-focused accounting roles
- Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Effective time management skills with a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented mindset
- Experience with ERP systems, especially NetSuite, is preferred
- Skilled in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with intercompany transactions, reconciliations, captive insurance programs, self-funded medical plans, and multi-state sales tax filings is advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
