Payroll and HR Assistant
Our client, located in Buford, Georgia, is seeking a dedicated Payroll and HR Assistant for an hourly direct hire position.
Company Overview:
- Family-owned business specializing in residential services
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee manual payroll processing for 160+ employees and in-house subcontractors, comprising 60-70% of workload
- Manage employee relations, claims, onboarding, and offboarding tasks, accounting for 30-40% of workload
- Conduct monthly employee orientation sessions to ensure a positive and engaging experience
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and files
- Serve as a welcoming and responsive point of contact for employee inquiries and issues
- Aid in occasional document translation using Google Translate
- Provide administrative support to the HR department
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in payroll processing, with a preference for manual processing
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; quick to adapt to HR/payroll systems
- Previous HR support experience (onboarding, employee relations, claims) is advantageous
- Adept at managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment
- Note: HR certifications are not required or preferred for this position
