Paralegal Role:
The Paralegal will work on cases through the entire life of the case, including developing strategy, fact finding, preparing legal documents, assisting attorneys in taking and defending depositions, attending hearings, mediation, and trial.
Support attorneys by handling a substantial caseload of litigation defense and investigative matters.
Aid in discovery processes, trial preparation, and the creation of trial binders.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing parties, court personnel, and vendors.
Contact witnesses and engage with courts as needed.
Gather records, manage exhibits, maintain witness lists, and prepare chronologies and summaries.
Schedule meetings and hearings, coordinating with court reporters and videographers for depositions.
Track billable time and expenses accurately and ensure compliance with minimum billing requirements.
Paralegal Background Profile:
Demonstrates strong ethics, a forward-thinking approach, a positive attitude, and a collaborative spirit with a commitment to continuous learning.
Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset with a readiness to learn and a willingness to take on new challenges.
3+ years of experience in insurance defense
Capable of working independently while managing multiple cases simultaneously.
Exhibits exceptional skills in time management, writing, and verbal communication.
