Our client in Longview, TX is adding a Maintenance Manager to the team. Â This is a direct hire opportunity and offers growth within the company.Â

Maintenance Manager Role:Â
Maintenance Manager will ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity
Deploy strategies in reliability that build maintenance and technician capabilities
Implement process improvements to drive efficiency
Track standard manufacturing downtown and prioritize plant equipment maintenance
Maintenance Manager will train and supervise employees of the maintenance department
Negotiate contracts with outside vendors for execution of maintenance work
Ensure operational efficiency of electrical equipment and mechanical systems through timely inspection and repair
Ensure that company premises and facilities are kept in a clean condition
Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist the team to solve operational issues
Maintenance Manager will build people’s capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel
Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
Administer policies and procedures
Prioritize work requests
Maintenance Manager will work with local and out of town suppliers in ordering parts used in maintenance and keeping supplies in house
Support production schedules and work production leadership regarding daily priorities
Maintenance Manager Background Profile:
10+ years of operations maintenance experience preferred; 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred
Highly prefer someone with engineering experience
Methodical mindset
Knowledge of machine-related processes
Experience with scheduling and contract labor
Mechanical experience maintaining equipment
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
This role may require off-shift and weekend work
Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others
Effective mentoring, facilitation, presentation, and team-building skills
Computer knowledge-Lawson, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Etc.
Computer knowledge using internet to look for new suppliers/parts for better cost
