Director of Engineering Role:
Provide expertise to support field engineers and sales teams when promoting energy conservation solutions.
Develop and implement energy conservation standards and protocols for commercial buildings that are compliant with code and industry standards.
Ensure companywide adherence to relevant codes, regulations, and standards across all regions in which the company operates.Â
Oversee the implementation process to ensure safety standards meet and exceed industry norms.
Develop and maintain estimating tools utilizing historical data.
Provide leadership support for field engineers and operations managers.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
Offer engineering expertise for contracts, legal matters, and implementations.
Deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to senior management on performance and project status.Â
Director of Engineering Background Profile:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited 4-year institute.
State issued Professional Engineering (PE) License required.Â
8-10+ years of experience in energy conservation or a related engineering field.
Management and/or supervisory experience required.Â
BESA Certification preferred, but not required.
Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification preferred, but not required.Â
Ability to be a people leader and manage other technical engineers.
Mechanical engineering background with design and operational experience in various markets.
Experienced in whole building simulations highly preferred.Â
Proficiency in measurement and verification of savings highly preferred.
Skilled in optimizing mechanical systems using control and energy management strategies.
Strong business acumen with experience in business plan development, implementation, and team management.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong analytical skills along with a data-driven mindset.
