Bookkeeper Role:
The Bookkeeper will provide ongoing bookkeeping and administrative support to the office, driving organizational success through the management of daily operations and special projects
Monthly general ledger postings for multiple construction entities including intercompany transactions.
Handle financial transactions including posting information to accounting journals and/or accounting software from customer invoices, cash receipts, and supplier invoices
Process Accounts Receivable billings and construction draws for projects
Assist with preparation and review of monthly consolidated financial statements
Assist with AP/AR functions
Handle account reconciliation
Monitor and report expenses
Manage credit cards and process transactions
Prepare credit applications for vendor accounts
Monitor and set up utility accounts as needed
Ensure necessary forms/documents are submitted to ensure compliance
Assist with maintaining calendars
Ensure office supplies remain stocked
Greet clients by phone or on site as needed
Updating social media accounts as needed
Other duties as assigned
Bookkeeper Profile:
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of relevant experience
Construction industry experience preferred, but not required
QuickBooks experience required, Desktop preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
Comfortable wearing multiple hats
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients and others
