Our client in Cincinnati, OH is currently seeking an Assistant Store Manager on a direct hire basis.

Assistant Store Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure freshness, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory, vendor relations, and financial aspects of grocery operations
- Implement merchandising strategies to enhance sales
- Utilize sales data to optimize production output and minimize shrinkage
- Make informed purchasing decisions based on market trends
- Coordinate timely and efficient freight delivery
- Train, develop, and evaluate store employees
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies
- Collaborate with leadership on company directives and promotions
- Establish and enforce operational policies aligned with organizational goals
Assistant Store Manager Background Profile:
- 5+ years of retail grocery management experience
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Proven ability in employee training and development
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficient in multitasking and analytical tasks
- Knowledge of government regulations and retail math
- Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software

With more than 35+ years in the grocery retail industry, Mike started as a part-time courtesy clerk. Mike has a passion for community service, having served as a board member for the Bear Creek Specialty Utility District (formerly Lavon Water Supply Corporation) from 2007-2013; Community Independent School District board trustee from 2013-2017; and currently serves as Lavon City Councilman, Place 2 since 2017.
