Our highly-respected Fort Worth Law Firm is seeking a 3+ year Appellate Litigation Legal Secretary for its busy firm. This Fort Worth position is a direct-hire, 5 days in office, 37.5 hour work week. You will absolutely love their benefits! Knowledge of Appellate Litigation is a must.

Appellate Litigation Legal Secretary Role
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience performing advanced appellate legal secretarial duties
The Litigation Legal Secretary will assist two litigation attorneys on a daily basis with transcribing dictation, drafting, proofreading and editing legal documents as well as E- Filing
Draft, revise and proofread legal documents
E-filing with State and Federal Courts
Prepare new client matters and engagement letters
Formatting, styling, filing of documents
Prepare Table of Contents and Table of Authorities
Calendar management
Screen calls for Attorneys
Maintain client files physically & electronically through NetDocs
Input of Attorney’s time on daily basis and review of client bills
Prepare expense reports
Prepare documents and exhibits for overnight delivery
Appellate Litigation Legal Secretary Background Profile
A minimum of three (3) years of law firm experience required
Knowledge of appellate, federal, and state court systems, including appellate and federal e-filing and state court online filing systems required
Software knowledge must include MS Office suite, Net Docs or other document management systems a must
Candidate must possess interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients, and staff in person, by email and telephone. Ability to provide a high level of customer service and be able to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Candidate must possess strong organizational and attention to detail skills, ability to balance multiple projects and have strong time management skills
Proficiency in grammar, proofreading, and transcription
Ability to utilize firm resources to assure that all work is completed in a timely manner
Ability to provide a high level of customer service and be able to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Law Firm Benefits
37.5 hour work week
5 days working in the office
100% of Health Insurance, Dental and Vision paid by Law Firm
Long term disability
Profit sharing up to 10% - must be there 1 year
Year-end discretionary bonus
4 weeks of PTO after 1 year
This awesome position is in the office Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00
